KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Main Accountabilities
- Provide expertise and support with regards to the delivery of tunnel and shaft projects.
- Provide expert knowledge in shaft sinking of both soft soil & hard rock, mining, tunneling, selection of support for different kind of soil & rock structures, rockbolting, grouting, shotcreting etc.
- Supervise site investigations, monitoring and review instrumentation readings, involved in risk assessment also.
- Prepare Shotcrete Support Sheet (SSS) Or Change Request for Excavation Support Sheet (CRESS) for approval by client and designers prior to excavation.
- Responsible for day-to-day operation to ensure works are constructed as per the project specification. Liaise with sub-contractors, prepare method statements, weekly reports & work programmes.

PRE-REQUISITES:
- Relevant engineering degree in Civil or Geotechnical / Mining Engineering.
- The person should have excellent hands-on knowledge of TBM / NATM and SCL tunnels.
- MINIMUM 8 YEARS tunneling experience. Experience of working on Rail projects/tunnels is an added advantage. LTA Project experience would also be beneficial.
- Knowledge of Mechanised tunneling using Drill & blast, LHD’s, Jumbo drills & LPT’s.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Excellent project skills
- Highly self-motivated, good working attitude with a high level of professionalism and integrity
- Good team player and adaptable to a dynamic environment
